Minor Surgery Clinician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Minor Surgery Clinician to join our dynamic healthcare team at NHS.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering high-quality clinical care to adult patients attending the community Minor Surgery service. This will involve diagnosing and treating a variety of benign skin lesions, while collaborating with the Dermatology team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

About the Role

The Minor Surgery Clinician will be responsible for conducting minor surgical procedures, including excisions, biopsies, cyst removals, and suturing. They will also maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements
  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Experienced GPs with a specialist interest in minor surgery, Accredited GPwERs or GPwSI in Dermatology who also perform Minor Surgery.
  • Evidence of specialty training in a relevant field, such as Dermatology, General Surgery or Plastic Surgery.
  • Proven experience in performing minor surgical procedures independently.
  • Proficiency in local anaesthesia techniques and wound closure.
