Minor Surgery Clinician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Minor Surgery Clinician to join our dynamic healthcare team at NHS.

Main Responsibilities

The role holder will be accountable for providing high-quality clinical care to adult patients attending the community Minor Surgery service. This will include diagnosing and treating various benign skin lesions, while collaborating with the Dermatology team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting minor surgical procedures, including excisions, biopsies, cyst removals, and suturing. They will also be required to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements
  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Experience in performing minor surgical procedures independently.
  • Proficiency in local anaesthesia techniques and wound closure.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have evidence of specialty training in a relevant field, such as Dermatology, General Surgery, or Plastic Surgery. They will also have a proven track record of working in a healthcare setting and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
