Site Manager Job Description

Your New Role
  • Oversee and manage all on-site activities for residential construction projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and exceptional quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to guarantee seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process, applying effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and material deliveries, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring project success.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies on-site, prioritizing the well-being of site staff and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management, ensuring informed decision-making and project alignment.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the project plans and specifications, upholding the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in residential construction, with a strong track record of project delivery and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations, with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage site staff effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to resolve complex issues and ensure project success.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and site staff.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications, demonstrating a commitment to health and safety and site management best practices.
