About the RoleOur client specializes in the design and manufacture of MV/LV packaged substations, low voltage electrical switchboards, power distribution units, motor control panels, and related final power distribution and control equipment.
You will be tasked with going to customer sites across the UK to fit and maintain their switchgear, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards and in line with company policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports to identify client requirements.
- Install, test, and commission electrical switchgear and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Apprentice served (technician, engineering, or craft) certificate.
- Developed report writing skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of quality and H & S procedures and standards.
- Possess analytical skills.
- Knowledge of HSE regulations.
- Commercially and market aware.
- Sufficient industry knowledge.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the external business environment.
- Strategic thinking.
- Relevant IT/PC skills (MS Software).
- Overall business/company knowledge.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Clean driving license (UK).
