The Role

As a Field Service Engineer with WINSEARCH, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage electrical switchgear and packaged substations across the UK. You will work closely with our clients to ensure their electrical systems are safe, efficient, and meet their needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop method statements for safe working practices.
  • Install, test, and commission electrical switchgear and packaged substations in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and industry standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including calibration of test equipment and updating maintenance files.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and perform repairs as required.
  • Collaborate with our clients to understand their electrical system requirements and provide solutions to meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, including MV/LV switchgear and packaged substations.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Apprentice served (technician, engineering, or craft) certificate.
  • Developed report writing skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality and H&S procedures and standards.
  • Relevant IT/PC skills (MS Software).
  • Clean driving licence (UK).
