Senior Production Engineer Role Overview:

Omega is seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Engineer to join our client in the Northampton area.

The salary range for this position is £50,000 - £56,000 per year.

Responsibilities and Challenges:
  • Development of precision CNC programs for complex components.
  • Creation of efficient manufacturing routings and BOMs using SAP ERP.
  • Design of innovative fixtures and tooling for NPI projects and production optimization.
  • Implementation of cutting-edge technologies to improve tool life and cycle times.
  • Mentorship of team members through departmental training and career development programs.
  • Estimation of production times and costs for efficient project delivery.
  • Identification and implementation of cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing processes.
  • Championing of health, safety, environmental, and energy standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Expertise in machining and programming complex components, preferably in the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX CAD/CAM systems and Vericit simulation software.
  • Understanding of machining techniques, cutting strategies, and inspection processes.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and support the team as needed.
