Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the estimating team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely cost estimates.
  • Develop and maintain estimation methodologies, tools, and databases to optimize project costs and improve efficiency.
  • Analyse project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates and conduct cost-benefit analyses.
  • Coordinate the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with client requirements.
  • Engage with clients to discuss and clarify project requirements and negotiate costs and terms.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for each estimate, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in the estimating process to ensure excellence and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior estimating role, with a strong background in construction or engineering industries.
  • Expertise in estimating, cost estimation, bid preparation, cost analysis, project evaluation, and cost management.
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong client interaction, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and cost optimisation techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive business growth and success.
