Müller UK & Ireland is a leading dairy company with a strong presence in the UK market. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team at our Droitwich Depot.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation logistics, including daily driver briefs and debriefs, safety sweeps, and breakdown management. They will also be responsible for maintaining the site run folder, controlling site assets, and driving operational excellence improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the daily driver brief and debrief, ensuring all improvement opportunities are identified and implemented through PMS.
  • Promote and embed the Müller safety culture through the use of STAR cards and conduct safety sweeps.
  • Responsible for maintaining the site run folder, ensuring all run changes are communicated.
  • Responsible for following the breakdown management and recovery procedures for all MMI vehicles.
  • Control site assets, including GKNs, trolleys, and hand-held equipment.
  • Drive operational excellence improvement opportunities and take action to implement tracked initiatives.
  • Build a thorough understanding of all work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure they are adhered to.
  • Responsible for service level reporting, including customer service and shorts and late reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring all resource allocation is in place and checked and reviewed regularly, with all changes communicated.
  • Take ownership of the site fuel master key and track all usage.
  • Ensure working with the garage function that all vehicle servicing coordination is carried out.
  • Responsible for the daily Tacho Master management system, ensuring all drivers comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for all trailer checks, including temperature, and carry out regular audits.
  • Responsible for all cross-dock management.
  • Ensure regular AS400 housekeeping.
  • Display and promote MMI behaviours.
  • 3PL management.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a positive attitude to work. They will be able to work well both independently and in a team, manage deadlines well, and understand how to prioritize a workload.
