Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a supply basis in schools across Goole. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to children with a range of additional needs, enabling them to access a fulfilling and inclusive education.

Responsibilities:
  1. Supporting pupils with diverse Special Educational Needs, including autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.
  2. Collaborating with the classroom teacher to implement effective learning strategies, lesson modifications, and behavioral interventions.
  3. Delivering one-to-one or group support to students, empowering them to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
  4. Offering emotional and social support to students, fostering confidence and positive relationships.
  5. Maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  6. Partnering with the teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to track student progress and contribute to personalized education plans (IEPs).

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per year

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different schools in Goole, frequently at short notice.
  • A dedication to promoting inclusivity and a passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
