Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a charitable organisation in Blackpool. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working 39 hours per week, including alternative weekends. You will be working in a home that was rated as "GOOD" by the CQC and ranked as one of the top homes in the North of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm, and supportive.
  • Act as a key worker for a named group of residents, ensuring responsibilities are carried out in full.
  • Participate in the formulation and maintenance of individual care plans for each resident and administer medication as prescribed.
  • Supervise and support the care team, ensuring the Care Home values of trust, respect, and care are maintained.
Person Specification
  • Minimum two years' experience of working in a social care environment.
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Supervisory/leadership skills.
  • Willingness to develop new skills.
