As a Senior Pharmacy Technician Medicines Management, you will play a key role in developing and participating in ward-based pharmacy services in conjunction with clinical and patient services staff. You will support the delivery of a high-quality pharmacy service, under the direction of the line manager, who will assess the ward-based competencies of the post holder and ensure standardization of activities.
Main Duties- Develop and maintain high-quality, consistent, patient-focused pharmacy services to wards in conjunction with clinical and patient services staff.
- Be the technical link person between wards and pharmacy, and manage calls and requests as appropriate for the pharmacy team, via the Wi-Fi phones.
- Manage and support the safe, accurate, and timely supply of medicines to wards and clinics, and other areas as required, by managing the medication supply chain in conjunction with Pharmacy team members, Stores, and Distribution staff.
- Adhere to and maintain quality standards and performance indicators for service developments implemented.
- Cover or participate in dispensary services, as necessary, to the same standard, in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures.
- Support the Pharmacy Clinical Services team in the development of the medicines management pharmacy technician service.
- Accuracy check clinically screened dispensed prescriptions, according to policy.
