About the Role

We're looking for a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Duty Manager. As a key member of our store leadership team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of colleagues to achieve sales and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the store in the absence of the Operations Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the wider management team in maintaining key control measures and security practices, prioritizing employee and customer safety.
  • Complete store routines documents, ensuring the store is trading legally and safely, and customers' needs are met.
  • Manage colleagues, providing day-to-day supervision, motivation, and support, while ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Work with the store leadership team to achieve sales and cost targets, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
About You

We're looking for someone with experience in running a fast-paced customer-facing environment, who can handle the variety that each day at Wickes brings. You'll be highly organized, passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, and able to inspire and lead your team.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary, with rates starting at £12.05 per hour for those 21 years and over.
  • A benefits package, including up to 5% annual bonus, up to £300 per month gain share bonus, and up to 10% employer pension contribution.
  • Up to 35 days of annual leave, including 8 days of bank holidays, and a range of other financial and wellbeing benefits.
