Electrical Contracts Supervisor Job Description

Irwin M&E Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Contracts Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Electrical Division, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of electricians, electrical assistants, and apprentices to ensure the successful delivery of electrical installation projects.
  • Control the quality of electrical installation work and provide support with planning and programming of work to the Contracts Manager.
  • Assist with estimates and measures for new and current MTC contracts, ensuring compliance with statutory Health & Safety (NI) Order.
  • Liaise with clients and attend client meetings to promote Irwin M&E's services and maximize opportunities.
  • Carry out work according to Irwin M&E policies and procedures, ensuring all relevant working practices comply with statutory regulations.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Time served as an Electrician with C&G Level 3 NVQ in Electro Technical Services or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition and ability to lead a team of skilled engineers.
  • Good H&S knowledge and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of EICR (EICR) Testing and H&S qualification to the level of CSR Gold or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of leading a team and ability to use IT including Word, Excel, and Office.
  • Security clearances desirable, e.g., CTC/Access NI, and driving licence.
