The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for developing and implementing solutions to improve forecast accuracy by analyzing historical data, market trends, customer information, and commercial insights. This involves building both long-term and short-term forecasts to ensure product availability and optimize supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of supply chain professionals, including supply planners and administrators, to ensure effective forecasting and planning.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to develop and implement forecasting strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Analyze data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to address forecasting challenges.
  • Interface with customer planning functions to obtain data and build relationships that support forecasting and supply chain operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as HMRC regulations, for all supply chain transactions.
  • Use budget and forecast data to regularly review site capacity and make informed decisions about supply chain operations.
  • Develop and maintain a 12-month rolling forecast to ensure accurate planning and optimization of supply chain operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the supply chain team and wider business by identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to address them.
  • Manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to mitigate potential write-offs and optimize inventory levels.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in forecasting and demand planning, preferably in the FMCG industry or manufacturing.
  • Advanced level of expertise in Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Experience managing or supervising a small team, with a proven track record of leadership and collaboration.
  • Good understanding of the S&OP process and its application in supply chain planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
