Job Description

A leading role in the Hinkley Point C EPR Project is available for an experienced Lead Nuclear Engineer to lead the Layout Team and deliver high-quality engineering solutions. This position involves coordinating the production of deliverables, tracking delivery schedules, and ensuring technical accuracy and quality.

This challenging opportunity requires a skilled engineer with strong leadership abilities and experience working in the nuclear industry, preferably on HPC or SZC projects. The successful candidate will possess expertise in layout competency, 3D modeling, and PDMS/E3D tools. Knowledge of general layout rules, engineering design sequences, and interfaces is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 8-12 Layout Engineers
  • Coordinate production of deliverables and track delivery schedules
  • Ensure technical accuracy and quality through review and approval processes
  • Apply EPR-E Processes & Tools where applicable
  • Interface with other leads and external parties as necessary
Requirements
  • Experience in the nuclear industry (HPC/SZC)
  • Knowledge of layout competency and 3D modeling (PDMS/E3D)
  • Engineering design sequences and interfaces knowledge
  • General layout rules knowledge
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
