About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Account Director to join our team at air-recruitment. As a key member of our Life Sciences practice, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of clients and developing strategic marketing plans to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Leadership: Work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and marketing objectives, and develop tailored marketing strategies to deliver commercial results.
  • Marketing Strategy: Conduct market research, develop brand and product value propositions, and create buyer personas and messaging to inform tactical communications plans.
  • Team Management: Manage and execute against tactical plans, briefing and working with specialist teams to deliver high-quality results on deadline and on budget.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, managing projects and effectively communicating expectations, plans, and results across the combined agency-client team.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of B2B integrated marketing experience, with a proven track record of account development and sales.
  • Industry Expertise: Current experience working at GAD level in life science, pharma, med comms agency, or another agency servicing technical sectors.
  • Scientific Background: A scientific background (e.g. BSc or PhD in a science-related subject) is desirable.
  • Commercial Management: Strong commercial management skills, with a track record of account development and sales.
  • Team Management: 6.5+ years of team management and development experience.
  • B2B Strategy: Good working knowledge of B2B strategy, including customer and competitor research, customer segmentation, messaging development, brand strategy, and tactical comms planning.
  • Service Delivery: Experience in service delivery, including creative, brand visual identity development, content marketing, paid media, organic social, web design and development, sales enablement, lead nurturing, and inbound marketing.
