Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our Asset Management function in Cardiff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, including monthly management information, quarterly finance reports, and annual financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of effective financial controls and processes to support the business, including balance sheet control and liquidity management.
  • Prepare and present high-quality management information and board packs to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Compile and submit regulatory reporting returns to the FCA, working closely with the LGIM Compliance and Property Fund Accounting teams.
  • Monitor and manage capital and liquidity requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and forecast needs.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of LGIM's financial control framework, ensuring robust controls are in place across all elements of the financial information.
  • Work collaboratively with the Expenses and Revenue teams to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory accounts for the Real Assets entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with knowledge of the Financial Services industry and/or the regulatory environment within which financial services firms operate.
  • Understanding of FCA regulation, including the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD) and the sourcebook for Mortgage and Home Finance Firms (MIPRU).
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and Companies Act requirements.
  • Experience with software such as Tableau, Onestream, and SUN accounting systems.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently and work under pressure.
