Job Title: Finance Business Partner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join our client, a well-established NHS body based in Cardiff. This is an interim role until the end of March 2025.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to provide financial advice and support to the healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the budgeting and forecasting process, coordinating with various teams to ensure financial compliance, and implementing financial policies and procedures to enhance effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial advice and support to the healthcare team.
  • Facilitate the budgeting and forecasting process within the department.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure financial compliance.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures to enhance effectiveness.
  • Participate in financial audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and reports.
  • Identify areas of cost reduction and operational improvement.
  • Assist in strategic decision making by providing relevant financial insights.
Requirements
  • Qualified by experience with relevant experience in a similar role or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
  • NHS Finance Experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent Analytical and Numerical Skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of procurement process in NHS would be beneficial.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience of computerised financial accounting systems.
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience in all Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Methodical and organised approach to work.
