Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Norwich. As a key member of the procurement function, you will play a critical role in establishing and implementing procurement policies and processes from scratch.



About the Role


The successful candidate will provide procurement support to the Head of Procurement on this transformation project. With a focus on the management of procurement rather than people, you will be responsible for providing additional procurement knowledge and experience to ensure the new function is successful.



Your Responsibilities



  • Provide procurement support to the Head of Procurement
  • Assist in the establishment and implementation of procurement policies and processes
  • Manage procurement activities, including tendering under PCR2015/OJEU guidelines
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all functions
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



Key Skills and Qualifications



  • Previous experience working as a Procurement Officer/Category Manager/Procurement Manager or similar
  • Proven experience running tenders under PCR2015/OJEU guidelines
  • An engaging character with the ability to quickly build rapport and foster excellent working relationships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work onsite at the client's site in Norwich 1-2 days a week

Salary and Benefits


This is a permanent contract position with a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, plus benefits including 5% matched pension contributions, private medical cover, and 25 days holiday. You will also have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, splitting your time between the office and home.



Location


You will be based in Norwich, initially working onsite 1-2 days a week. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established consultancy and contribute to the success of their clients.
