Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at AWD online. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes and projects on all properties owned or managed by our organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and ensure delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes and projects
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and services to ensure projects are delivered to agreed standards and achieve expected levels of customer satisfaction
  • Support the Assets Investment Manager in verifying investment decisions to ensure all properties meet Decent Homes Standard
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and technical specifications
  • Experience of using Schedule of Rates to issue and control maintenance work
  • Ability to complete risk assessments and knowledge of fire risk assessments is desirable

Requirements

  • Professional building qualification or background in building surveying or maintenance
  • Current knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM regulations
  • Understanding of stock condition surveys and the Housing Health & Safety Rating System
  • Strong customer focus and ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience of working with building and service contracts
