AES Subject Lead

Study Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AES Subject Lead to join our team at the Leeds International Study Centre. As a Subject Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of teaching programmes in line with our education strategy, broader scholarship, and aims for an outstanding student experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide academic coordination for designated modules in the role of Subject Lead
- Lead/participate in regular meetings with teaching and support staff to manage programmes and student life cycle
- Line manage a group of academic tutors
- Contribute to the design, delivery, and development of modules offered by the centre
- Deliver and assess Academic English provision
- Prepare module examinations and other assessment forms, mark, and provide feedback to students
- Support planning activities, such as timetabling and field trips
- Update and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and the AES online platform
- Work with the centre's Student Experience and academic team to deliver induction, orientation, and registration programmes
- Liaise with the Progression, Welfare, and Support team to support students in achieving their progression aim
- Represent the department at external events, such as enhancement and engagement activities with partner universities
- Liaise and meet with the Link Tutor at the partner university to ensure quality standards and external oversight are achieved
- Engage in scholarly activity to ensure delivery of modules is current
- Implement quality assurance procedures at module level and contribute to the annual monitoring and review of the programme to achieve high standards
- Fully use centre systems to log and monitor student attendance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student engagement
- Complete sponsor reports and academic reports for students
- Take up opportunities, such as VLE development and Peer Observation activities
- Undertake teaching, learning, and assessment observations and associated staff development plans to assure standards within the subject area
- Any other duties as required from time to time by the Head of AES and Centre Director
- Promote health, safety, and wellbeing of students and colleagues
- Bachelor's degree
- Relevant teaching qualification (DELTA, TEFL, MA Linguistics)
- Experience of teaching in UK higher or further education and preferably a teaching qualification and experience of working with international students
