Global Mobility Tax Services Leader

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our People Taxes team as a Global Mobility Tax Services Leader. This role will focus on managing the day-to-day global coordination and/or UK service delivery of client engagements, supported by a junior engagement team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the UK tax compliance and work closely with the KPMG Centre of Excellence to deliver on all aspects of assignee compliance.
  2. Be involved in all aspects of cross-border advisory – covering tax, social security, process, policy, and efficiencies, and project manage advisory projects carried out for clients.
  3. Provide UK tax technical analysis and advice to clients.
  4. Engage with clients on current global mobility and UK tax developments.
  5. Support Engagement Leaders with VIP assignee services, including carrying out arrival/departure briefings for senior assignees.
  6. Develop, maintain, and lead strong client relationships.
  7. Manage engagement finances with junior support.
  8. Manage and coach junior staff.

Requirements:

  1. Min. 5 years' experience working in expatriate/global mobility tax services in Big 4 or equivalent.
  2. Prior experience in an in-house Global Mobility/HR team or working overseas would be beneficial but is not required.

  7. Able to work to multiple deadlines, showing resilience under pressure and an ability to think on their feet and apply creative thinking when presented with a challenging problem.
  8. Strong tax technical expertise.
  9. A proven track record of exercising sound professional judgement, including the ability to identify issues/concerns and consult where appropriate with more senior staff.
  10. A team player, who collaborates widely to deliver best client outcomes and invests time in the development of their team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. ACA/ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent preferred.
  2. Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are preferred.
  3. Microsoft Power BI experience for reporting is welcome but not essential.
