Housing Support Officer (Tenancy Management)

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Housing Support Officer to join our team at Caridon Property Services. As a Tenancy Management Specialist, you will be responsible for providing housing-related support to our clients.

Your primary goal is to ensure that clients maintain their tenancies and achieve independent living. This involves creating personalized housing plans, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with various agencies to promote health and well-being.

About the Role:

  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Benefits: Generous leave entitlement, health and well-being benefits, employee wellness, and pension plan.
  • Location: To be determined based on candidate preferences.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out Personal Housing Plans and Risk Assessments.
  • Support clients in meeting their set goals according to their Personal Housing Plans.
  • Maintain weekly contact with clients to support them in implementing their Personal Housing Plans.
  • Conduct regular reviews of risk assessments and support plans.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and advice to vulnerable people to enable them to manage their tenancies.
  • Assist clients in reporting repairs.
  • Work with a range of agencies to promote health and well-being.
  • Manage anti-social behaviour/ incidents in line with Caridon Foundation Policy and Procedure.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in support work or a similar role.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop non-judgmental professional relationships with vulnerable clients.
  • Experience working with those who have experienced homelessness.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work positively without direct supervision.
