Job Title: Advanced Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, specialized clinical pharmacy services to our inpatient community health wards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients, including medication management, clinical decision-making, and education. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the development of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, specialized clinical pharmacy services to inpatient community health wards
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients, including medication management and clinical decision-making
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the development of our pharmacy services
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacists
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Certificate in clinical pharmacy
  • Postgraduate diploma or Master's degree in clinical pharmacy (Band 8a)
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
  • Substantial experience in a general clinical/hospital pharmacy, including ward-based clinical work
  • Experience in audit or project facilitation
  • Experience in undergraduate and junior pharmacist/pre-registration training/teaching
  • Experience of line management and clinical supervision (Band 8a)
  • Experience of service planning/development
