About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Secretary to join our team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to consultants and clinical teams within the Children's Hospital Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive secretarial/PA support to consultants and clinical teams.
- Manage the patient pathway, from referral to first outpatient appointment, through diagnostics, treatment planning, treatment, and follow-up.
- Ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused, and knowledgeable point of contact.
- Monitor the quality of patient pathways using Trust IT systems.
Person Specification
- GCSEs or equivalent.
- Good standard of English, both written and spoken.
- Administrative medical specialty knowledge, gained by education or relevant experience.
- Experience of planning and organizing own workload.
- Experience of working across multi-disciplinary teams.
