Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd.

The successful candidate will work within our Controls Design team to produce PLC software as required for Client's automated warehouse systems, along with commissioning of control systems on client sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write PLC and HMI code (Siemens TIA Portal) to meet requirements of the system;
  • Test the code and install it and commission it at clients' sites;
  • Investigate and resolve any technical issues that are flagged within electrical design and PLC software systems;
  • Provide first line training / familiarisation to support team members for commissioned systems.
Requirements
  • Siemens PLC software knowledge (TIA Portal) or a strong aptitude and willingness to learn this skill;
  • Teamwork focused individual who has strong resilience and able to manage conflicting priorities;
  • A strong can-do attitude and willingness to step in and help resolve complex problems when required;
  • Strong eye for detail and a natural interest in understanding how equipment works.
