Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a GOOD Ofsted rated 3 form entry Primary School in Barking/Dagenham. As an autism specialist, you will provide individualized support to a student with complex needs, working closely with teachers to develop tailored learning plans.

This is a long-term, full-time position starting from January, offering a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on your experience. You will also benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities and a bonus scheme for referrals.

About the Role:

  1. Support a student with autism in a one-to-one capacity
  2. Develop and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with teachers
  3. Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  4. Work closely with other teaching assistants and school staff to ensure seamless support

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism
  • Relevant qualifications and training for this role
  • Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
