Position Overview

As a Senior Farm Business Consultant, you will play a vital role in delivering a wide range of consultancy services to farmers throughout the region, contributing to the company's growth and success in the agricultural sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consultancy services to farmers across the region
  • Conduct comprehensive farm business appraisals to identify areas for improvement and growth
  • Manage Basic Payment Scheme and grant applications to ensure farmers receive the support they need
  • Compile reports and budgets for various agreements to ensure transparency and accuracy
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of agricultural professionals


Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and motivate a team
  • A combination of practical and farm business experience, with a strong understanding of the agricultural sector
  • Knowledge of DEFRA's subsidies and the Agricultural Transition Period
  • Previous experience of managing a team and leading projects
  • 3+ years' experience in arable/livestock sectors (desirable)
  • FACTS and BASIS qualifications (desirable)
