Financial Analyst - Brand Marketing

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Brand Marketing team at Dunelm. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights to support our marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and reconcile marketing budgets, ensuring accurate and timely month-end postings.
  • Forecast marketing expenses and track costs related to SKU photography.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process for brand marketing, ensuring assumptions are clear and the latest forecast reflects current marketing strategies.
  • Conduct pre-month-end reviews with brand marketing teams, owning the rolling forecast through the use of Marketing Trackers.
  • Reconcile Purchase Orders (PO) and brand planner trackers, resolving any issues related to PO trackers and supplier invoices.
  • Support brand marketing and Insights & Analytics (I&A) teams in preparing business cases for renewals and new initiatives.
  • Review and challenge investment asks to ensure alignment with budgetary goals and return on investment.
  • Support weekly or monthly financial reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy and clarity for stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A desire to study towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) – study support will be provided.
