Job Description

Behind Closed Doors, in partnership with Leeds Women's Aid and Women's Health Matters, is seeking a skilled Male Domestic Abuse Support Specialist to join their experienced team.

This role involves providing community-based practical support to individuals who have experienced domestic abuse in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, reducing risk with vulnerable men and their children, and working in a supportive yet demanding environment.

To be considered for this position, you must be committed to the cause and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of domestic abuse issues, including its impact on victims and perpetrators. You should be able to provide emotional support and guidance to those in need, while also promoting healthy relationships and behaviors.

In addition to your professional experience and skills, you must be able to demonstrate a passion for supporting survivors of domestic abuse and a commitment to reducing violence in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide community-based practical support to individuals who have experienced domestic abuse in Leeds

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
