Power Distribution Engineer

POWER Engineers is seeking a talented Power Distribution Engineer to join our team in Trussville, Alabama. As a key member of our Power Delivery Distribution Services Department, you will be responsible for designing and developing distribution line systems, including electrical design, physical design, and material lists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop distribution line systems, including electrical design, physical design, and material lists.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and external client personnel to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in power distribution engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a power option.
  • Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.

Desired Qualifications

  • BSEE, BSEET, or BSME degree from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a power option.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially in the power industry or distribution engineering.
