About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects within the Water Industry, working closely with our clients and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations, including CDM regulations, and Environmental legislation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, ensuring that they are maintained to drive the project to key deliverable milestones.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installations, and construction teams.
  • Procure plant, materials, and specialist subcontractors, ensuring that all contract documentation is prepared in line with client specifications and Galliford Try/client closeout timescales.
  • Ensure that project resources are made available to attend/undertake factory site and works testing, commissioning, and client training.
  • Manage the project team, ensuring that each member has a clear set of objectives, and that all team members are working towards the same goals.
  • Assume responsibility for the financial performance of each project, with overall responsibility for Profit/Loss on contracts undertaken.
  • Produce project performance reports and participate in monthly financial/programme reviews for all schemes with the Commercial Manager, Framework Manager, and Regional Director.
Requirements
  • IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS) certification.
  • CSCS card.
  • Demonstrable experience of working within the water/sewage and general industries.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (email/phone/face to face).
  • Ability to review options and be comfortable to make the required decisions for the project success.
