About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect blood samples from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
  • Use a range of equipment, including needles, syringes, and tourniquets, to collect blood samples.
  • Label and store blood samples correctly to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Work with patients to ensure they are comfortable and at ease during the blood collection process.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient blood collection processes.

Requirements

  • Good standard of education, including GCSE English Language.
