We are seeking a driven individual to join our health and safety team as a Fire Safety Advisor in Dunstable. This role involves providing valuable fire safety support throughout our bakeries and ensuring effective management of health and safety protocols to maintain legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site inspections, record findings, and raise actions
  • Monitor outstanding actions and ensure completion
  • Identify good practices and communicate them throughout all sites
  • Provide advice, support, and guidance on fire prevention matters
  • Liaise with supervisors and managers to ensure continual improvement
  • Conduct and report on audits throughout the sites
  • Promote a positive safety culture
  • Produce reports on fire safety
  • Assist in developing and reviewing site fire safety documents, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and procedures
  • Deliver toolbox talks and train staff on fire prevention
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, reporting findings and recommending improvements
  • Support development of systems and procedures to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
  • Lead fire emergency evacuations and document findings for improvement
About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have a good working knowledge of fire safety and ideally hold qualifications such as the NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NEBOSH Fire Certificate level. Additionally, you should be computer literate, commercially aware, and able to plan, organize, and deliver projects.

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
