Job Summary
YMCA Brighton is seeking a Data and Performance Lead to join its Central Services Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing data, including preparing, collating, and cleaning data, as well as creating and maintaining datasets. They will also undertake data analysis and exploration, creating visualisations to communicate insights effectively. Additionally, they will work closely with colleagues to embed reporting into day-to-day work, encouraging a data-driven and evidence-based approach to decision-making. The Data and Performance Lead will oversee GDPR compliance and work with the CEO, Head of Operations, and Managers to develop the organisation's data structures, enabling a robust data model and real-time reporting. They will also work with colleagues across the organisation to understand the charity's intelligence requirements, scope out projects, and deliver reporting to agreed specifications, presenting complex information through a variety of means. Furthermore, they will provide carefully curated data to the fundraising manager, which will power marketing campaigns. The Data and Performance Lead will play a key role in strategic projects, acting as a data expert, covering a range of topics.

Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain data collection systems and databases.
  • Design and implement new systems to monitor and/or evaluate.
  • Use analytics to monitor and improve performance.
  • Oversee compliance with GDPR and Data Protection regulations.
  • Use advanced data visualisation software.
  • Work with Supported Housing commissioners.
  • Support front-line staff with Subject Access Requests and Data Impact Assessments.


Requirements


  • Experience of maintaining data collection systems and databases.
  • Experience of data reporting and analytics.
  • Experience of designing and implementing new systems.
  • Experience of using analytics to monitor and improve performance.
  • Experience of overseeing compliance with GDPR and Data Protection regulations.
  • Experience of using advanced data visualisation software.
  • Experience of working for a Regulated Social Housing provider.
  • Experience of working with Supported Housing commissioners.
  • Experience of supporting front-line staff with Subject Access Requests and Data Impact Assessments.
  • High efficiency in IT software and digital technologies.
  • Effective time management, planning, and prioritisation skills.
  • Understanding of data trends and best practice.
  • Knowledge and experience of data evaluation.
  • Understanding of using data to improve performance.
