Senior Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse Opportunity

Leaders in Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse to join our team in London. As a key member of our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children and their families.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse to take on a leadership role in our PICU. You will be responsible for developing and implementing holistic care plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and fostering strong relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take charge of the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for children
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Foster strong relationships with children and their families
  • Supervise and assess students, and lead shifts as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
  • Post Graduate experience in a PICU setting
  • Understanding of Safeguarding issues
  • Completion of a PICU Course equivalent to 60 credits
  • Experience in supervising, assessing students, and shift leading (desirable)
