About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at NHS Professionals Limited. As an Intensive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care to critically ill patients, including those requiring mechanical ventilation and other life-sustaining therapies.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, while ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital policies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including progress notes and medication administration records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an ICU hospital environment within the last 3 years.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and patients.
