Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Tax Manager to join our team at Pro-Tax. As a key member of our Global Trade Advisory team, you will play a critical role in managing diverse projects for high-profile clients, supporting new business development opportunities, and providing stewardship to develop junior members of the team.

About the Role

As a Global Trade Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects that support global clients in navigating changes in customs and excise legislative requirements, implementing supply chain governance, and optimizing duty strategies. You will also engage with HMRC to obtain rulings, repayments, authorizations, and respond to audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage existing client engagements, including account management, delivery, billing, and cash collection
  • Draft and review client advice, run client workshops, meetings, and training sessions
  • Assist in developing less experienced staff with hands-on advice and support
  • Contribute to winning new work, including proposals and bid work
  • Input into development of new market opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally

Requirements

  • Customs experience working in-house, in practice, or at a Tax Authority
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be proactive, identify opportunities, and take early responsibility
  • Excellent client-facing, relationship-building, and business development skills
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
