About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our award-winning team at Avery Healthcare. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of chefs to provide high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and direct the work of other kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure that all team members are equipped to deliver exceptional culinary service.
  • Manage food orders and inventory, ensuring that all provisions are purchased within budget and that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Implement safe systems of work and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least two years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the care or hospitality sector.
  • A relevant catering qualification, such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to control costs and maintain profitability.
