We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Physician to join our dynamic team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Stroke Physician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with acute stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA) symptoms.
About the RoleThis is a full-time substantive post, and you will be based at the Ipswich Hospital site as part of our strategy for Stroke. You will be part of a 7-day inpatient stroke rota, caring for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke symptoms. You will also be responsible for leading and developing the educational requirements of the stroke service.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the 7-day inpatient stroke rota, caring for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke symptoms.
- Lead and develop the educational requirements of the stroke service.
- Contribute to the development of stroke care pathways and guidelines.
- Participate in TIA clinics and outpatient clinics, reviewing new referrals and stroke follow-ups.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients with stroke and TIA symptoms.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Physician who meets the following criteria:
- GMC Registered
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Stroke or within six months of expected date of CCT (or be eligible for entry onto these registers within 6 months of application)
