Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist technical nuclear medicine services to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist, providing a range of high-quality specialist routine and non-routine technical nuclear medicine services.
  • Assist in the day-to-day workload organisation, offering suggestions regarding waiting time targets management and logistic operation of the Medway Nuclear Medicine technical service.
  • Assist with periodic critical audit review of specialist technical study protocols and processes, practical training of junior staff and students, and supervision of less experienced members of technical staff and students.
  • Collaborate with Nuclear Medicine Consultant Physicians and other clinical and surgical colleagues to interpret imaging studies and results from in vitro investigations.
Requirements
  • BSc(Hons) Degree in a relevant field.
  • Postgraduate diploma in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Nuclear Medicine theory and practice.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant rules and regulations.
  • Conversant with a range of PC software applications.
  • Highly motivated with an eye for detail.
  • Able to achieve objectives through co-operation rather than command.
