Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical services to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist, providing a range of specialist routine and non-routine technical nuclear medicine services.
  • Assist in the day-to-day workload organisation, suggesting improvements to waiting time targets management and logistic operation of the Medway Nuclear Medicine technical service.
  • Contribute to periodic critical audit review of specialist technical study protocols and processes.
  • Provide practical training to junior staff and students, and supervise less experienced members of technical staff and students.
  • Assist Nuclear Medicine Consultant Physicians and other clinical and surgical colleagues with the interpretation of imaging studies and results from in vitro investigations.
Requirements
  • BSc(Hons) Degree in a relevant field.
  • Postgraduate diploma in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Nuclear Medicine theory and practice.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant rules and regulations.
  • Conversant with a range of PC software applications.
  • Highly motivated with an eye for detail.
  • Able to achieve objectives through co-operation rather than command.
