Special Needs Assistant Opportunity

Academics Ltd is looking for an experienced Special Needs Assistant to join our team at a Primary SEN School in the Waterlooville area. As a full-time, term-time supply contract, this role offers flexibility and the possibility of a permanent position.

In this role, you will support primary aged children with special educational needs, including autism, challenging behaviour and communication difficulties. Your experience and qualifications will enable you to make a positive impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with primary aged children with special educational needs
  • Develop good relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Carry out personal hygiene and feeding duties
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience of working with children with SEN
  • Childcare/education related qualification (e.g. CACHE3/NVQ3 in Childcare or care)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Full-time availability
  • Will to travel to Waterlooville for work
