Wildlife Conservationist – Rhino Section
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team of Rhino Keepers. As a Wildlife Conservationist, you will be responsible for the general husbandry of the rhino section, including cleaning, feeding, and enclosure maintenance. You will also contribute to in-situ conservation programmes and provide educational talks and encounters with the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake all duties on the section, including general husbandry and enclosure maintenance
- Contribute to in-situ conservation programmes
- Provide educational talks and encounters with the public
- Work closely with the team to achieve conservation goals
Requirements:
- Experience working with rhinos in a mainstream zoological collection
- Full valid driving licence
- Good communication skills and ability to impart knowledge to the section
- Confidence around all types of rhinos and ability to restrain and handle animals where necessary
- Knowledge of health and safety and basic office software
