About the Role

The NHS Blood and Transplant organization is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Microbiologist to join their team in Microbiology Services. This role will involve working closely with colleagues across the section and the wider department to provide a high-quality service. The successful candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, particularly virology, and be able to interpret laboratory reports with ease.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance with current policies, procedures, standards, and relevant regulatory requirements. You will also provide specialist advice to a range of service users, contributing to the management of blood donors and tissues/cells.

A competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience) is on offer for this exciting opportunity. Additionally, you will receive 27 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time) plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 29 days after 5 years' service and to 33 days after 10 years.
