Job Title:

Verification Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Verification Lead Software Engineer to join our client's team on a long-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading requirements-based testing, developing primary unit and HiL test environments, and owning the software test plan to meet the timing goals of company development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leading Requirements-Based Testing: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
  2. Developing Primary Unit and HiL Test Environments: Design and implement test environments to achieve quicker and higher quality results.
  3. Owning the Software Test Plan: Ensure that the software test plan is aligned with the company's development projects and meets the timing goals for final flight certification.
  4. Supporting Communication: Facilitate communication between the software development team and the wider project team.
  5. Verification Aspects: Responsible for the verification aspects of the software development process for Design Assurance Level (DAL) A of RTCA DO-178C.
Requirements:
  1. Degree or Equivalent: A degree or equivalent in software or electrical engineering.
  2. Previous Experience: Previous experience in the verification of embedded software in safety-critical products, e.g. to RTCA DO-178C (or DO-178B) DAL A or B or ISO26262 ASIL D/C.
  3. Programming Skills: Experience developing code in C programming language.
  4. Scripting Skills: Experience of scripting, for example in Python.
  5. Unit Testing: Unit testing using for example.
  6. Verification of Model-Based Software: Verification of model-based software using MATLAB.
  7. Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile software development & DevOps methodologies and industry best practices for software development.
