Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced research nurse coordinator to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our clinical team to coordinate and manage clinical trials, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and research excellence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with site investigators and local clinical specialist nurses to introduce and initiate clinical trial work in the hospital.
  • Identify patients suitable for entry into clinical trials by attending clinics and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.
  • Ensure patients are fully informed prior to entry in any clinical trial programme.
  • Assist in consenting, randomising, allocating of treatment of patients as permitted in individual study protocols.
  • Ensure all relevant information is documented in the patient's medical notes.
  • Responsible for accurate completion of Case Report Forms (CRFs).
  • Responsible for the collection, co-ordination and computerisation of data generated from the clinical trials.
  • Implement and adhere to the principles of GCP (Good Clinical Practice) as set out in the Clinical Trials Regulations.
  • Set up and maintain the TMF/ISF (Trial master file/ Investigator site file) with essential documents.
  • Submit substantial amendments to the MHRA, REC and R&D and ensure all approvals are in place before implementing changes.
  • Ensure SAEs are recorded and reported in accordance with the protocol and/or sponsor's SOP.
