Job Title: Wine Bar Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wine Bar Operations Manager to lead the launch and daily operations of our new wine bar concept in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience, managing all aspects of the business, and driving the success of our wine bar.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient service flow.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage staff, creating a positive and motivated team environment.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control costs, monitor sales, and meet financial targets.
  • Wine Expertise: Curate wine lists, lead tastings, and ensure staff are knowledgeable about wine and food pairings.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster relationships with customers, ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes loyalty and return visits.
  • Compliance: Ensure all legal requirements are met, including licensing, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in hospitality, ideally in a wine bar, restaurant, or wine-focused establishment.
  • Wine Knowledge: A passion for and knowledge of wines, particularly Georgian wines (WSET qualification or similar is a plus).
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management abilities with a talent for motivating and developing staff.
  • Customer Focused: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for creating memorable customer experiences.
  • Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail.
