Fraud/Investigation Lead

The Fraud/Investigation Lead plays a critical role in detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent and security-related transactions within Vodafone. This specialist maintains fraud policies, provides expert support, and guides fraud and investigations within the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Vodafone's international voice & SMS fraud risk, aligned to Vodafone leadership and external stakeholder expectations.
  • Implement a clear and transparent fraud risk strategy across Vodafone Voice & Roaming Services (VRS) in accordance with Group Policies.
  • Deliver high levels of performance and engagement between VRS and VOIS team in India.
  • Proactively maintain an effective 'risk-based' fraud detection & prevention Fraud Management System (FMS), including the use of third-party data sources.
  • Provide advice & guidance to external customers, Local Market, Vodafone Group Entities, and other areas of Vodafone business.
  • Conduct detailed data analytics across VRS data sets to identify international traffic trends and anomalies that may present commercial risks.
Requirements:
  • Highly numerate, with Degree/Technical qualifications in Business Management, Commerce, Information technology, Data Analytics, or similar.
  • Competent keyboard skills, including Excel, Power BI applications, and knowledge or interest in Gen AI/Machine Learning tooling.
  • Experience in the Telecoms or IT sector, with knowledge or experience of key fraud threats in an international voice & messaging environment.
  • Ability to implement effective strategies and focus on key deliverables to minimize exposure to financial loss and brand repute.
  • Effective and collaborative communication skills to ensure key outcomes through engagement across all stakeholders.
