About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Nursing Assistant to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). As a key member of our patient care journey, you will take pride in delivering exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the nursing team in delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and other healthcare professionals, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions.
  • Support patients with personal care needs, including mobilization, toileting, bathing, dressing, eating, and drinking.
  • Participate in the development of patient care plans, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • National Care Certificate or willingness to undertake and complete within 12 weeks of starting.
  • Level 2 Apprenticeship in healthcare or equivalent knowledge and skills.
  • Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English or equivalent education.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as a team and carry out well-defined routine tasks.
